Greg Economou is transformational entrepreneur and executive who has operated at the highest levels of the sports and entertainment industries for nearly three decades with a track record of significant innovation, connectivity, and success. He is a rare creative and commercial visionary with the deep understanding of how the value of IP combined with the underpinnings of data and technology can drive exponential growth. Currently, he is an active investor and advisor to several major clients through his advisory practice and is producing a myriad of film and television content projects as well.

In 2019, Economou launched game1, the cutting-edge content studio that successfully fused sports and Hollywood - producing an array of sports-related content in conjunction with the world’s greatest athletes, teams, leagues, and their counterparts in the entertainment industry He served as Co-Founder & CEO for over three years before divesting his stake to pursue other ventures. In his role at game1, Economou sold and produced an array of feature films, scripted and unscripted television programming, digital and social content, as well as podcasts.

Prior to launching game1, Economou served as Chief Commercial Officer & Head of Sports at Ticketmaster/Live Nation (CCO); Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer at Guggenheim Media/Dick Clark Productions (CRO); Executive Vice President of Revenue Performance for The Madison Square Garden Company (CRO); EVP of Business Operations & Chief Marketing Officer of the Charlotte Hornets (COO); and SVP of Marketing & Communications of the NBA (CMO). In addition to the above-mentioned roles, he also co-founded and sold two successful sports industry-centric consulting firms, BRANDTHINK (CEO) and SME Branding (CEO). He began his career in sports as a professional basketball player in Europe, playing for Olympiakos in Athens, Greece – following a successful collegiate basketball career at the University of Connecticut.

Economou also serves on several advisory boards, including 4B Advisors, Concierge Live, SimWin Sports, Signing Day Sports, and The Program – while formerly serving on the advisory boards of Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), the American Film Institute (AFI), and The Player’s Tribune. He lives in Pacific Palisades, CA with his three sons, Rip 24, Luke 21, and AJ 19.
