It’s Game Time (~25,000 Impressions on LinkedIn)

When I was about 10 years old, my Uncle Bob told me that I should “go to Hollywood” – the place where the biggest stars and storytellers in the world lived. He thought it would be a blast. I laughed, the idea of Hollywood wasn’t even a flicker in my mind.

After college and playing some hoops overseas, I embarked on a dream career in sports – owning and managing sports agencies, working in executive positions at sports teams, leagues, and media companies – it has been everything I ever hoped.

Then, a strange thing happened. About 18 months ago, I met a guy named Basil Iwanyk. We were like long-lost brothers – two East Coast guys who had moved to L.A., both wild sports fans. The thing is, Basil turned out to be one of the most prolific producers in all of Hollywood, producing massive hits every year – movies that I loved.

Within a handful of conversations, we decided to jump in and launch a sports-oriented content studio, game1, that would make feature films, scripted/unscripted television programming, and podcasts – connecting sports to Hollywood like never before.

Now, a year into this venture, we are crushing it AND it’s finally clear to me that my Uncle Bob was right all along.
